About Kate, Founder of KatesCanineCare

Kate's Canine Care is a locally owned pet care business in Matawan, New Jersey. What started in 2015 as one college student walking neighborhood dogs has grown into a team that pet owners across the Bayshore trust with their animals and their homes.

How KatesCanineCare Began

Kate was studying psychology when she realized her heart was pulling her somewhere else. She had always felt a deep connection with animals, and dog walking started as a way to spend more time doing what she loved. The more dogs she walked, the clearer it became that this was more than a side job.

Kate went on to study small business, then combined that knowledge with her passion for animals and turned it into Kate's Canine Care. The goal from day one was simple: give pet owners care they never have to second-guess.

What Sets KatesCanineCare Apart

• We meet first, every time. No service starts until we have met you and your pet in person, so everyone is comfortable before the first visit.
• You are never left wondering. We send daily updates and photos of every animal in our care.
• We are insured. Kate's Canine Care is insured through Pet Sitters Associates.
• We care for more than dogs. Drop-in visits cover cats, reptiles, bunnies, guinea pigs and other small pets.
• We are local. Our caregivers live and work in the same towns as the pets we look after.

The KatesCanineCare Team

As more families found us, Kate brought on caregivers who share her standards: patient with anxious pets, reliable with schedules and respectful of your home. Many of our clients have been with us for years, and some of the dogs we walk today were puppies when we first met them.

"I can't believe how much we've grown over the years and how many wonderful clients and animals we've had the pleasure of getting to know." - Kate B., Founder
